Will the FAA hire an air traffic controller with tinnitus?

I’m trying to get an ATC job but I have tinnitus. Will the FAA hire me?

Tinnitus isn’t a big problem, it isn’t even worth mentioning that you have it, mostly. Unless it’s a very serious case in which your normal hearing is largely compromised by it, then you might have to tell them.
If you feel that your problem won’t affect how you work, then you should keep it to yourself and they shouldn’t have a problem with it. But do note that hundreds of lives are in your hands if you are hired, so make the right choice.
If you absolutely have to tell them, do tell them about the extent of it so they can decide. I’m sure for a particularly mild case they shouldn’t not hire you based on that alone.
