What is my tinnitus caused by? I am not sure which it is caused by?
I used to play the drum set in 6th and 7th grade and didn’t wear ear plus for 10 or so times but I beat the living crap out of the drum set which left me with a ringing noise in my ear but it was not permanent.
Next I have had trouble with wax in my ears and was wondering maybe if it is caused by wax. The Ear and Nose Specialist said that I just have tinnitus from noise but i feel as if there is something in my ear. They said I am still in the normal hearing for my age and I really want it to go away.
Anyone have any ideas of if it is Noise-induced tinnitus. P.S: I rarely listen to music on my ipod and I have only been to a few dances for about 2 hours each but stayed away from the speakers. Please help me

Agreed with the Dr.
I wear ear plugs every time I go to loud environments ever since I was diagnosed with tinnitus one night after the club.
It is usually permanent and your brain can definitely learn to tune it out. I did and I live a normal life again.
Unfortunately, if there was something in your ear, doctors can see that and they would not have neglected anything being in your ear, therefore it is safe to say that the ringing is noise-induced.
It only really takes one time to bring tinnitus upon yourself, despite your careful habits.
For most people, if this problem doesn’t go away on its own in about two years, it is usually permanent. Such are the dangers of being around very loud noise, and it would be a great idea to wear ear plugs from now on when you know you’ll be around noise so the problem doesn’t get worse.
have you checked your hearing?
based on your explanation, it seems like ‘noise-induced tinnitus’ to me. When some one is exposed to a loud sound for a long time( and even sometimes for once), his tiny hearing hair cells ( in the inner ear) may damage and cause some hearing loss and tinnitus.
although the real cause of tinnitus is usually unknown, but it’s better to have your hearing checked.
Ear wax has nothing to do with tinnitus.
any loud noises makes your tinnitus worse.
the kind of noise you hear as tinnitus is important too. Sometimes it is a sign of blood problems like high cholesterol or high blood pressure.
try to check any of these possibilities.
