Get your Doc to check your blood pressure and thyroid. They dismiss this for guys quite often…but it can be a major cause of tinnitus.
Avoiding caffeine and salt can help too.
usually you just have to wait until its gone.
I’ve had tinnitus in one ear for about 16 years that went with instant deafness and I have to tell you, you really learn to ‘tune it out’ in time. I never took anything for it. Although I do notice that at different times it can get suddenly worse but then returns to that not-so-noticable state. At first I felt like I was going to go crazy knowing that I couldn’t escape the noise! It almost made me feel claustophobic like it was constantly with me no matter what, I couldn’t exactly take a break from myself. I did hear that being around loud noise can worsen it temporarily (especially when I’ve been in a large group of loud people, that really is bad for it). Or sometimes maybe when I’ve worked out too strenuously. Sorry if this offers little help but honestly, mine just sort of phased out once I got used to it crazy as that sounds!
Depends what is causing it.
Trauma, like from a loud noise, you probably just have to wait it out. If it lasts more than a day, see a doctor in case you have a ruptured ear drum.
High blood pressure could cause it, in which case you need to bring your blood pressure down. This will take diet, exercise, and possibly medication.
An ear infection could cause it, too. You’d need to see a doc. A drop or two of peroxide in there could help for tonight.
when that happens to me i just try to blank my mind or talk to someone
sometimes you just gotta wait tell its gone. hope it helps
