My Husband went to the doctor for just this problem today. They gave him a detailed hearing test and found he is nearly deaf in one ear and has poor hearing in the other. All war related.
This is an annoying problem, for people. The doctor gave no cause, it’s like your eyes beginning to fail. It’s just a part of the body breaking down from life in general. There is some medicine on the market. I’ve been meaning to buy it, I wish I could tell you if the medicine worked.
But, I can tell you that this is a problem that brings so much discomfort. It must nearly drive you insane at times. Good Luck and Good Health. I would see a hearing specialist.
could be fluid in your ears, blocked sinuses or if you had just been exposed to a very loud noise you could hear ringing in your ears afterwards as a result of hearing loss.
the most common cause for tinnitus is hearing loss. Trauma to the ear (noise, drugs such as aspirin, or chemicals) damages the portion of our ears allowing us to hear, the cochlea.
Hereditary hearing loss and prolonged exposure to loud noises eg construction sites and tools, and music eg in front of loudspeakers or high volume earphones or I-pod buds!
