Tinnitus and Pressure build up in one ear?
I have had tinnitus for about 2 years, and my ENT is not sure what may have caused it. When I go in for hearing tests, the tests always state that my hearing has stayed the same, and that it is fine. However, I have also had the constant feeling of pressure in my ear, and I cannot relieve it. When the pressure is at a maximum, so is my tinnitus. When I go see my ENT he says that he cannot find an explanation for it, but said he may recommend an MRI. I was wondering if anyone knew what could cause these two symptoms together, and what can be done to help them.

Sometimes a ¨cloudy¨ or congested feeling accompanies tinnitus triggered by allergies. You might want to see if any foods you are eating are triggering the buildup of the pressure. Keep a journal of when you notice the pressure and note what you ate that day to see if there´s a correlation.
