tinnitus and pain in one ear, going into other ear, what can it be?
i started with sneezing and runny nose, i presumed allergy, then i had tinnitus, which followed with pain at the back of the ear, pain inside of the ear, went to drs, gave me antibiotic drops, told me the ear was red, pains in jaw are, and front of face, all left side, been back to drs, have to see ent take 7 months, now it seems pain going into other ear, with tinnitus, and front of neck, flying soon an very worried, what it can be, dr put me on amatryptyline 20mg, which helps with pains in the head, but baffled what could go from one ear to the other. and will i have pain flying, one trip to france, other to turkey, gratefull for any response

Well I had almost the same thing, no infection just the pain. Turns out I had nerve inflammation in behind my ear. I’ve had nerve block injections with relief for 4 months, going back next week for another one. The Amytriptaline is usually the first line of defence for nerve pain, the next thing they’ll try is either Tegretol or Neurontin, both anti seizure drugs but they do work on nerve pain. Try to see a neurologist and see about a nerve block if that turns out to be the case or you will have trouble flying.
Do not fly in plane the pressure on your ears will be like HELLL trust me it has happened to me .your ear drum could explode from pressure and you can be deaf forever
