My problem is present for the past 3 months and have not got any relief.
My first problem is that of dizziness and imbalance. I feel imbalance while walking though I have not had a fall.
I had a ear congestion due to sinus 2 months back and was treated for that. The ENT said that the imbalance was because of the congestion. The congestion was cleared and ears were ok. But I continued to have imbalance and sometimes felt dizzy.
One doctor then treated me for depression and gave me some herbal treatment and massages. The imbalance still continued.
In the mean time I used to feel like my nerves twitched (sometimes) and weakness and had mild tinnitus.
Then a neuro had given me clonazepam and Stemetil for 21 days & I improved wonderfully. But, when I left the medications, symptoms
seem to have come back (back to square 1?).
I have done CT and MRI of brain & spine & everything is normal. I have done all blood tests and Liver and kidney funtion test & everything is normal
Pl advise.

Had a bout with tinnitus this year. Learned a whole lot about it, and about hearing / the ear in general.

Well, now with anything I do, I wear double ear protection; some foam like ear plugs, and the ear muffs for shooting, etc…

My tinnitus seems to fade, but is only re activated when after loud music, or a loud noise.

The power equipment I use is very loud "can’t believe I never thought so until now".
So I double up on ear protection, and as I put it on, I can barely or not even hear the tinnitus.

But after I’m through with the mower, power washer, leaf blower, whatever…I take off my ear plugs, and the tinnitus is very loud at first, but then calms down, but comes back instead of fades….

This has me worried, what should I do?

I have never heard the term holistic cure.

At random times this sound will go in my left ear, never my right. Like at random times, but never when I am asleep. It’s just like this "mmmm" "mmmm" "hmmmm" It’s never a ringing sound either so I know I have tinnitus. I don’t know how I got it. I don’t listen to my music loud or anything. What are the possibilities of it’s cause and how do I cure it?

About 4 days ago I woke up one morning with ringing in my ears. I didn’t have the ringing when I went to bed the night before and there were no loud noises during that night.

Ever since then the ringing has not stopped. If I cover my hands to both ears I can hear the ringing.
I can also hear bizarre things, like the high pitched sound of my bathroom light when it’s turned on or the electricity running through my computer monitor.

It’s as if whatever I hear between 16khz-18khz gets exaggeratedly high. For the first day after I got the ringing even the PA announcer on the tram to work hurt my ears and gave me a slight headache…now it hurts a good deal less.

What on earth is going on and how can I fix this? For the record, I don’t have a stuffy nose or any obvious "sinus" symptoms. I sure hope this is not Tinnitus: were are only 28 and only go to loud clubs or live venues about once a month or less for one hour or less at a time.

As if this were not weird enough, this afternoon my girlfriend got the same thing. I would think maybe my motorcycle caused this (engine noise, even though I wear a helmet)…but she mysteriously got it about 5 days after we last rode on the motorcycle.

Well, sometimes if I mess with my ear or squeeze it, it starts to feel clogged up and I hear weird buzzing noises or ringing sometimes. And when I go to sleep at night sometimes I hear buzzing noises.. And last night, while i was sleeping I accidently jammed my finger in my ear (jeez i hate myself) and now my ear is all messed up, and I don’t know how to fix it. I keep hearing wavy sounds, like from the ocean or somethin’ and I tried to clean out my ear but it’s still the same way.

And if i have tinnitus, what do I do? =(

Hi i’m 13 this year, and i don’t go to concerts, i don’t listen to loud music, neither do i play any musical instruments like drum that causes loud sounds.

But from Thursday night, when i went into the room, i heard a sound that sounded very weird. And since that time it has always been in my ear. Its really irritating, i dig my ear, wash it and it dosen’t stop.

When i listen to music , it goes away,

Can someone tell me wad to do ? i really dun want to go deaf at such a young age

I think i have tinnitus..anyone else have it? i have had it for a while like a year but didnt bother me cause it would happen every so often …but for a few days its been constant and i have gone insane..usually i just had change the position of my head to make it stop but nothing is working anymore..and its not even ringing its like pulsating which is even more annoying…anyone else gone/going through this?
did you get treatment? what kind? did it work?
