i am 16 years old and have been on depo for about 9 months. the first 6 months i was fine, them a few days after i was scheduled for my next shot i started to lose feelings for my boyfriend of 2 years. i got my shot 2 days late and i wish i had never gotten it, because for the last 3 months my life has been hell, i have put my boyfriend thru so much crap trying to find out why my feelings were fading away. i have also experenced back aches, headaches, no period with long periods of spotting, joint pain, extremely dry skin and hair, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, Breast tenderness, Difficulty concentrating, mental confusion,memory lapses, Anxiety, Mood swings, sudden tears,Loss of libido,Trouble sleeping through the night, TMJ,Tinnitus,loss of self. most of these are Symptoms of Hormonal Imbalance caused by depo provera.

5 months ago for some reason I put a little toy gun to my head it was already pretty loud but I had it directly on my ear and the noise made my ears ring and they’ve been ringing ever sense it’s called tinnitus I know that and I’m going to an ear specialist very soon but I need some remedy or way to make the ringing stop now I can’t sleep at night and the ringing is driving me Insane please help

i have slight hearing loss in my right ear due to going shooting with my dad and not wearing ear protection ( we only shot 2 shots of a .308) my hearing was slightly impaired for a few days after but my left ear has fully healed. i have tinnitus in my right ear and only slight hearing loss i can hear people talking perfectly fine only quite very soft sounds i cant hear out of my right ear.. is this enough to make me fail a hearing test administered by the marines? there for denying my entry?

I have been hearing a whistling sound for the past week and I think it could be tinnitus.

it’s worse at night when there’s no noise. can tinnitus be cured? I was wondering if someone (e.g. with experience in tinnitus) could please offer any tips on natural remedies to cure this.

This has been happening to me for almost a year. It doesn’t happen very often but it does occur. Everynow and then out of no where, my right ear gets a loud ringing sound which blocks all other noise. Closest comparison I can make is a flashbang. I’ve never been near a flashbang but it sure feels like that’s how one would feel. Without the confusion and what not. So, is this a sign of tinnitus or something else?

My problem is present for the past 3 months and have not got any relief.
My first problem is that of dizziness and imbalance. I feel imbalance while walking though I have not had a fall.
I had a ear congestion due to sinus 2 months back and was treated for that. The ENT said that the imbalance was because of the congestion. The congestion was cleared and ears were ok. But I continued to have imbalance and sometimes felt dizzy.
One doctor then treated me for depression and gave me some herbal treatment and massages. The imbalance still continued.
In the mean time I used to feel like my nerves twitched (sometimes) and weakness and had mild tinnitus.
Then a neuro had given me clonazepam and Stemetil for 21 days & I improved wonderfully. But, when I left the medications, symptoms
seem to have come back (back to square 1?).
I have done CT and MRI of brain & spine & everything is normal. I have done all blood tests and Liver and kidney funtion test & everything is normal

Had a bout with tinnitus this year. Learned a whole lot about it, and about hearing / the ear in general.

Well, now with anything I do, I wear double ear protection; some foam like ear plugs, and the ear muffs for shooting, etc…

My tinnitus seems to fade, but is only re activated when after loud music, or a loud noise.

The power equipment I use is very loud "can’t believe I never thought so until now".
So I double up on ear protection, and as I put it on, I can barely or not even hear the tinnitus.

But after I’m through with the mower, power washer, leaf blower, whatever…I take off my ear plugs, and the tinnitus is very loud at first, but then calms down, but comes back instead of fades….

This has me worried, what should I do?

I have never heard the term holistic cure.

At random times this sound will go in my left ear, never my right. Like at random times, but never when I am asleep. It’s just like this "mmmm" "mmmm" "hmmmm" It’s never a ringing sound either so I know I have tinnitus. I don’t know how I got it. I don’t listen to my music loud or anything. What are the possibilities of it’s cause and how do I cure it?
