Tinnitus, how long will it last?

I’ve got got over a severe ear wax blockage in my ear and have had it syringed and removed by a doctor. As a result I now have an acute ringing in the ear. I’m wondering how long this Tinnitus will last? I’ve been told 2 weeks to a month, but I’m eager to ask anyone else who has suffered from this.

hello everyone, in about the first or second week of may i got a really really bad flu that lasted for a few days, like always I never went to the doctor because I thought it was a normal flu and i took over the counter medicine for sinus problems. Well in june the 3rd or 4th I started having really bad panic attacks(I have had panic attacks before because of acid reflux I had that made me have asthma like symptoms(shortness of breath) but it usually after the panic attack was gone i felt better. This time it got so bad that even after days had passed from my attack, I noticed that I felt dizzy all day and every time I burped I had this really annoying sound in my left ear and everytime i pass saliva, my right ear pops.I went to a ent doctor and he said he thought it was labyrinthitis and he only gave some nasal spray and betamethasone. The brain fog, unreality, surreal feeling is always there, a few weeks ago the dizziness stopped but it came back like 3 days ago and I feel like im going to loose it.I always have mucus in my throat, nose, I have blurry vision when looking at far away things, feeling panicky, eye floaters ever ytime I look at the sky, and my right ear always pops, sometimes I get a little pain in my right ear, tinnitus, every time I burp I have a really annoying wind blowing sound in my left ear like if I have something stuck in my ear, but my ears have already been checked so my doctor said it was probably inner ear. Im seeing another ENT doctor this thursday i’m so excited, but this feeling of unreality and terror I feel like im in a dream and i cant wake up, it feels like i’m going insane but im not. And the dizziness gets worst always when i walk. Somebody please help me I cant live like this anymore, I cant go outside walking too much or I will the feel like i’m going to faint. oh and on top of it I have a random cracking sound in my throat, never had a ct scan or anything. This is ruining my life my school everything, im so paranoid help please.

This has gotten increasingly worse over the years to the point that I had to quit golf. Now, at age 59, the hearing loss occurs when I simply bend over to pull weeds or to pick up the newspaper off the porch. It is often accompanied by Tinnitus (ringing and pulsating in my ear) It used to last anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days, but now it’s pretty much all the time. It’s almost like a have something pressing against my auditory nerves which acts up when I bend or twist. Any idea what could cause this and what treatment options are available? Thanks.

These spells used to last from 2 hours to 2 days, but now are pretty much all of the time. I’m not taking any ototoxic medications and my blood pressure is 120 over 80. Any ideas?

MDs & Naturopaths: Anyone know about liver disease?

Can these symptoms wait for a doctor in several days or do they need to be soon soon?

Ammonia Smelling Urine, Light colored stools, itchy and oversensitive skin, tiredness, tinnitus (not related to hearing loss), depression, irritability

Thanks
After I eat I don’t feel well. Right after I take supplements I don’t feel well. 1/2 hour later I feel ok again.

Is there a cure or possible cure for tinnitus?

I have had it for 3 weeks now, it started when my right ear felt stuffed up so I put a cotton bud in it to clear any wax, next thing I know I get this ringing in my ears and i’ve had it ever since. I went to the docs and had my ears syringed but it still hasn’t helped.
I know all about the masking devices, music, all that stuff but I want to know about any possible cures, only one i’ve come across is neramexane but that is still in trial. I can’t accept that this is incurable, if man can build a rocket to go to the moon then surely there’s a fix for this.

How to Get rid of Tinnitus?

I have had Tinnitus for around 6 months. I am aware that it can be caused by a variety of different things. I also understand that Tinnitus is probably incurabe – and this is something very troubling to me as i don’t think i can live my life like this. Anyway, are there any methods that have been proven to work, with people who have actually once experienced Tinnitus and found a cure or relief? I believe it may have been caused by exposure to noise, although i never listen to loud noises. It is in my right ear, and i have noticed that i hear slightly less out of this ear. I have been to the Doctor who rushed me out and didn’t really give me any time to explain myself, but prior to that, another Doctor checked my hearing and said it was not out of the ordinary, although the ear with Tinnitus is a few megahurts or some noise measurement like that different from the other. However, i have also noticed my Tinnitus is slightly worse, and i feel like i have a lot of ear wax in my ear. I am desperate for a cure or any form of relief. My friend who also has it has told me that he has actually been to the Doctor and was prescribed some sort of new medication designed to get rid of Tinnitus. Apparently, it takes a month, and after the trial of 3 pills a day, the Tinnitus should be removed. Since i have never heard of such a cure for Tinnitus, i am not sure if this dream could even be true. Anyway, if anyone can help me ease the Tinnitus, i would greately appreciate it, as it interferes with school, sleep and i constantly worry about it. Im on the edge here, thanks very much, i appreciate it very much.
Also, there are a variety of websites with claimed cures/ reliefs, and i was wondering if they were a scam, or if they actually help. I don’t know why anyone would even want to make a scam like that, as that would be very cruel. Thanks again.
One last thing – I have heard of Lipoflavanoid, and my friend has told me it works, as he knows people who have used it and have gotten rid of it. Any one know about it? Also, my other friend is using it know, and says that it already helps.

Ear problem after diving?

Had this feeling of fullness/ stuffiness in my right ear a few days later after my diving. Went to the doctor and doctor said that I had some infection as my ear drum was red. Was given some antibiotics and ear drops.

Before going to doctor, I didn’t experience ringing/ buzzing in my ears ( tinnitus ) but now I do. Right now my right ear feels like something is clogging it up and sometimes I can hear some crackling and popping. Just a few hours ago when I tilt my head to certain angles I can hear like something is moving in my right ear. Either opening a tiny gap or covering my canal. My hearing is also muffled, some hearing loss. I am now very scared of the ringing and buzzing and I don’t ever want to think about living with that noise. I think I will go crazy if it stays there. Is it temporary? Because I don’t listen to loud music, haven’t gone to any concerts or anything that might contribute to the ringing. It suddenly happened a few days after the diving.

Is it Ear barotrauma? If so, which one? Does my symptoms indicate another type of ear problem? If so, please write it down.

And PLEASE, I would prefer someone who has experienced this, professionals, or someone that can give some reasonable and good advice. Thank you.

Currently panicing, stressed, depressed about the ringing/ buzzing and my hearing loss.

I think i have tinnitus can i still use my ipod?

I’m not really sure what could have caused it but now i have a ringing in my right ear…I’ve searched around and found that it incurable and most likely caused by listening to loud music.
