How can you get rid of tinnitus ?

What is the cure for Tinnitus?

It is a desease of the Ear. There is a continuous sound in the ear like that of an Insect(Jhingur).

What would be defined as long-term exposure?

I am experiencing slight tinnitus after attending a dance where the music was really, really loud. I can only hear the constant ringing when I concentrate on it, or plug my ears. I could barely hear anyone, even when shouting. I was there, dancing for about an hour, maybe a little more or less. I looked up what caused the ringing and I consistently saw the phrase "long-term exposure."

Is an hour or so considered "long-term exposure" or should I not be worried. The ringing has lessened already. Should I be worried about hearing loss?

Is pulsatile tinnitus serious?

I just found out that I most likely have pulsatile tinnitus. (thumping sensations in the ear that go along with heartbeat) most of it is linked to vascular abnormalities near the ear. I just want to know if this is something that I should have checked aby a doctor.

I have developed rining in the ear from the noise at my work. I’ve had hearing test which showed normal hearing level but minor possible damage to the inner ear hair. I’ve seen a EnT doctor who suggests that the level of inner ear hair damaga I have, can lead to the level of rining in the ear (tinnitus) that I have. The level of rining goes up when I execersie and goes down when I am relaxed. Especially when listening to a soft music, at a low sound level, I think I almost don’t hear this rining, even after I take off the headphone, at least for a while.

Can soft, low volumn music, listened with a headphone, help or even cure the ringing in the ear? Is there any similar example?

Tinnitus and the military?

I’ve had this problem for quite awhile, but it doesn’t effect my hearing in any way. I went to a doctor and they said that I didn’t have any hearing loss present. I’ve also had a problem with earwax build-up, but that doesn’t seem to be causing the problem because the ringing did not go away after I’ve had my ears cleaned out.

So far, there aren’t any good doctors in my area. Whenever I brought this problem up, it seemed apparent that I knew more than they did about tinnitus. I did eventually find an ENT and she scheduled me for an appointment to further dig into my cause for the condition, but my guardian didn’t bother to take me because she was afraid that she would have to cover the cost of the whole procedure.

I recently swore in to the Navy, but I won’t ship out until summer of next year. At meps, I did not once mention to the doctors about this problem. I’ve gotten quite a few suggestions saying that I should wait and get into the military to seek out treatment. I went with their advice because money is tight and my insurance does not cover anything.

I recently have received a small source of income and I’ve been thinking about making an appointment to try and find out what the cause of the ringing is, but I’m not so sure about my insurance.

Any opinions?
