I understand there is a cure for tinnitus?

My audiologist tells me that there is no cure for tinnitus! How can anyone live horrible ringing noises in their ears? some treatment obtainable somewhere?

I found help. I know that conventional wisdom will tell you to live it or that there is no cure but my mom unearthed a website http://www.t-gone.com that offered much support in finding the root cause of her tinnitus. The site is well worth a visit.
There is no cure for tinnitus. Not sure where you heard there was but it is not true. If you have it you have to learn to live with it and try using a white noise machine at night to help you sleep.
I have been told there is no cure , because you are not actually hearing the noise , it is being caused in your brain .
There are some topical remedies that claim to help. If they are not expensive you can try them to see if you get any relief.
Your doctor can prescribe an anti-anxiety drug to help you cope with the constant whistling noise.
