Tinnitus is caused by changes in blood pressure. I would suggest getting your blood pressure checked, if not already.
Actor William Shatner (AKA: Captain Kirk) has had tinnitus for his entire life and has used some sort of device on his ears to stop it in the past. He finally gave it up and continues to have tinnitus, just living with it.

Temporary tinnitus will repair itself in a couple of days. If it persists longer than that, it is permanent and irreparable.
i think there is a medication for it. I think if you have it you are stuck with it. Hope the noices and ringing doesnt drive you crazy.
There are tons of people who suffer from ringing ears, also known as tinnitus. I want to go over some treatment options that you have to stop the ringing for good and keep it away. Most people do not even know that there are options available to get rid of ringing ears and tinnitus.
I am going to cover three of the main options that you have when it comes to getting rid of the ringing that is causes by tinnitus. Tinnitus is usually caused by the exposure of loud sounds and noises. The worst part is that there is no known cure for tinnitus, but there are options that you have to get rid of the annoying ringing sound that you hear all of the time.
The first option that you have is to give hypnosis a try. I have not tried this method before, but there are people that have had success using hypnosis to get rid of tinnitus. It involves listening to specialized music and sound that will train your ear not to hear the ring caused by tinnitus. Like I said though, I have not tried this method, but through research have found that there are people that have had success with it.
The second option, which I do not recommend at all, is surgery. There are surgical procedures that will get rid of the ringing that you are hearing, but in the process you are going to lose most of your good hearing as well. I don’t think that it would be worth it if you were going to lose all of your hearing just to get rid of the ringing noise, but that is just my opinion.
The third option, which I used to get rid of my tinnitus, is an all natural treatment option. The best thing about natural treatments is that you will not have any kind of side effects or risks while treating your tinnitus. The best part is that natural treatments do not cost much money. I was able to get rid of my ringing ears really quickly after implementing only one of the 11 techniques that I had access to.
So, if you are serious about getting rid of the ringing in your ears, I highly suggest you to give natural treatments a try.
dude that happen to me and i went to my family doc/clinic and he gave me a ear drop and it really worked! so just go to ur doc or shoppers drug mart or something and ask the pharmacist for a ear drop

You can try going to a chiropractor. They can help with that sometimes. You can take the stuff they have at Walgreen’s for it. You will find 2 products where the eye & ear products are located. I do not know what they are called but if you can’t find them just ask someone who works there.
You can try listening to some really soothing and relaxing music with headphones. There are some doctors versed in the use of sound technology/frequency vibrations to help this problem. You can at least ask your doctor about it. Your doctor may also prescribe an ear drop.
I suffered with tinnitus in the past and I used the sound technology. My tinnitus never truly disappeared but it did get very soft. My doctor believes though that I just learnt to live with it as white/background noise and so it does not bother me as much. However there are also many other people who said they were completely healed with the audio technology.
Apart from that watch your levels of stress and your blood pressure. Also don’t go hungry for long spells. These all seem to aggravate tinnitus.

Depends on the cause. I had tinnitus this year, but found that it was simply caused by impacted ear wax that needed to be "pressure flushed" by a Dr. It is a simple, quick procedure and cured me quickly. You can also try Otix drops (avail. at any drugstore).
If it is not wax, tinnitus can be caused by stress as well, you can try to exercise more, it does help.
