Does any one have a cure for tinnitus?

high pitched whistleing in the ear’s, I’ve had it a long time, but its got worse lately.

I dont think there is a cure sweet oil seems to help a little. I guess it soothes the little hairs in the ears…or basically floods them out for some temporary relief.
Sweet oil can be found in the herbal section of food/drug stores.
Put just a drop or 2 in the ears.

yes!!! go to your GP there’s an operation that can be done. Ive not had it done myself yet as i don’t think mine is severe yet.
other than an operation staying out of the wind and keeping the cold out lessens it, or appears that way. good luck!!!
You are not alone. I can only describe it as the noise a toothache would make. Sorry their is no cure as such but avoid stress as this cfan make it worse.
Professionals tell me that everyone has tinnitus but the brain filters it out as garbage. Audio Traumer (playing music to loud or any loud noise) can start it off.
A theory is that if you wear hearing aids (as I do) amplifying the everyday background noise so that it is louder than the Tinnitus noise may make the brain forget the tinnitus noise. However, I have worn mine for about 7 years now and its no better.
Another method is for implants directly on to the bone. They recon that this works in some cases but its a bit on the heavy side if you then find it doesnt work for you.
Good luck withn it anyway, you have my sympathy.
By the way, I was a drummer and DJ in my younger years which is what they think caused it. What worries me is that the youngsters these days have bigger sound systems in their cars that I had in the band or the club where I was DJ.
NHS will go broke with Digital Hearing Aids at £1500 each.
Unfortunately my husband has the same problem. He has been to hospital and again unfortunately there is no cure, they did however offer him a hearing aid but did say would amplify a lot of noises which didn’t help him at all and he refused the aid. Sorry cant be more optimistic.

I’ve had tinnitus which has roared at a low level for years but a couple of weeks’ ago, it got worse and started to wowwww, wowwww enough to affect my hearing. I googled a lot and eventually found a self help tip which sounded ridiculous. It’s not easy to achieve but it worked in minutes to restore the tinnitus to the previous manageable level.
The solution advised was to take a pencil with rubber on the end and push it firmly against your gum/jaw beyond the last upper wisdom tooth and hold there for three minutes, both sides.
I didn’t have a pencil rubber so used a finger each side at the same time which wasn’t easy and looked extremely silly but it did the trick. I’ve had both my upper wisdom teeth out so maybe that’s how I managed it. With the wisdom teeth in position it’s probably going to need the rubber. Don’t know what it does but maybe affects the blood circulation up behind the ear. The site also recommended massaging the back of the ears firmly but I didn’t bother with that.
It was on a site about acupressure which I’ve used successfully in past to stop travel sickness by use of nautical bands. It’s a close relative of acupuncture.

I also suffer from tinnitus and I know what you are going through,
I have been told that at this time there is no cure,probably caused when I worked in heave excavators without ear protection.A lot of people will suffer as well by listening to loud music too close to the ears.
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and i use ear candling on my patients who have this. Also it could be your neck muscles causing this so go and see a massage therapist. I know this because i have had your problem and mine was my neck but i was able to cure mine on my own you can’t
