Hi Patrick,

Try Sesame oil - To calm the ringing in the ears, ten drops of warm sesame oil can be applied daily to each ear. Pour oil in the first ear and allow it to remain for five or ten minutes, then let it drain out. Repeat the same procedure with the other ear, lying on the other side. Typically, this treatment should alleviate tinnitus within eight to ten days.

Tinnitus herbal remedies can be used to support all body systems involved in helping the ear to perform its tasks of clear hearing and balance, as well as the circulatory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.
Some of the most common herbs used are

• Ginkgo Biloba is excellent for a number of cerebral and circulatory disorders. It is probably the most widely-used herb for tinnitus and many sufferers swear by this natural ingredient.
• Rosemary dilates and strengthens blood vessels and is an excellent circulation tonic. Rosemary is particularly useful for tinnitus that is caused or worsened by high blood pressure and other circulatory conditions.
• Avena Sativa is effective in reducing high cholesterol levels which can contribute to circulatory problems which cause tinnitus.
• Wild Hyssop s also useful in reducing pain and inflammation.
• Salicylic Ac. is indicated for tinnitus with loud roaring or ringing sounds, which may be accompanied by deafness or vertigo. This remedy is particularly useful in people whose symptoms began with a bout of flu, Meniere’s disease or long-term use of aspirin.
Hope all this helps
Good Luck!

And BTW - your tinnitus could definitely be due to that flu of yours. An attack of flu can create these long lasting symptoms. You may read more on all this on the link below

Tinnitus is the malfunction of the tiny hairs in the ear canal, listening to loud music, especially through headphones, working with loud power tools without wearing ear-defenders and prolonged exposure to any loud noise and a few of the causes.

the hairs in your ear canal vibrate with sound, then these vibrations get turned into what you actually hear, over time (more so with what i have listed above) the hairs wear down, limiting their vibrations, thus causing tinnitus.

as far as i am aware their is no cure for it, and i would defiantly not put any onion juice into my ear, neither would i use any any of the other tablets you have mentioned, the company's selling them have "jumped on the band wagon" and are trying to make money by selling ineffective products which if anything will do more harm than good.

saline solution is basically salt water, it is the medical term for it, this will not do anything to your ears apart from clean and cleans them, it may help reduce ear wax but i would recommend a proper solution for that bought from your local pharmacy. pouring a few drops of olive oil into the ear is the old fashioned way of treating ear wax, this is quite effective.

so just to confirm, there is no treatment or remedy for treating tinnitus.

maybe you have a build up of ear wax, if so try what i have mentioned above, it works for me.

hope this helps.

Hi Gpatrick,

The site below tells of a very successful home remedy which is fully guaranteed so either you get a cure or you money back. About $37 I believe.

Hope this is helpful.

Kind regards,

Jon

Hey GPatrick,

I am an audiologist, and I have level two tinnitus. Tinnitus unfortunately has no cure. Trust if there was a way to cure it, then I would gladly tell. There are however some natural ways to ease the Tinnitus so it is not as agitating that are proven by medical professionals as effective.

1. Cut down caffiene: caffiene irritates the Tinnitus
2. Try not to overstress: like any other problem, too much stress makes it worse.
3.Cut down on salty foods: salt makes tinnitus worse.

Hope this helps you as it helps me.

A very close friend of my had moderate tinnitus a year ago. He wanted to learn as much as he could about the subject to prevent this nightmare from getting worse. He found a lot of material on the web. Finally he bought a book called "Tinnitus Miracle" and was extremely happy with his purchase. By following the step by step instructions his tinnitus almost disappear. You can read more about the book at http://tinyurl.com/yl2lrqm.
I hope it works for you.
