I just found out that I most likely have pulsatile tinnitus. (thumping sensations in the ear that go along with heartbeat) most of it is linked to vascular abnormalities near the ear. I just want to know if this is something that I should have checked aby a doctor.

I have developed rining in the ear from the noise at my work. I’ve had hearing test which showed normal hearing level but minor possible damage to the inner ear hair. I’ve seen a EnT doctor who suggests that the level of inner ear hair damaga I have, can lead to the level of rining in the ear (tinnitus) that I have. The level of rining goes up when I execersie and goes down when I am relaxed. Especially when listening to a soft music, at a low sound level, I think I almost don’t hear this rining, even after I take off the headphone, at least for a while.
Can soft, low volumn music, listened with a headphone, help or even cure the ringing in the ear? Is there any similar example?

Okay, just an hour ago my brother awoke me by taking one of his stupid spring airsoft guns and shot me in the right ear, it was empty, but right when he did so, my right ear drum (I’m assuming) burst.
Now, the symptoms I’m getting are:
-Dizziness (went away in minutes)
-Fluid like liquid escaping from my ear (note: no blood)
-HUGE hearing loss, but I can still hear (barely)
-Loud ringing noise in my right ear; tinnitus
Everything else is fine.
Also, for my brother, he’s only 6 years old, and I didn’t blame him, or do anything to him, so don’t worry about him.
WORSE part of this is though, I’m 17 years old, possess no license, and I’m home alone with my brother since my parents are gone for 2 weeks visiting my sick aunt in Florida, so I have no way of going to the emergency room.
Should I be worried? I’ve already googled this problem, and many people said it heals perfectly fine and your hearing goes back to the way it should, but I’m still worried.

My ENT Doctor cleaned my left ear because it was very very clogged. After that he put antibiotics in it. And I read online that putting antibiotics in the ear will give me tinnitus..Thing is, I only hear the noise if I’m inside a building, when I’m outside I don’t hear it.

My mother has tinnitus and she needs a hearing aid in the near future but she is reluctant because she thinks it might make the tinnitus worse. I think it might make it better because tinnitus is not an outside sound. Any experiences with this?

1. I always listen to my ipod and other music at rather low volumes. One day however, i accidentally turned it on full at the max for about 5 seconds. It was the ONLY time. Just 1-2 days after that experience, i started experiencing mildringing in my ears (tinnitus). Can i be totally sure that this is what caused my tinnitus?
2. I went to 2 doctors. The first doc looked into my ear and told me nothing’s physically wrong and said it was temporary. So gave me DUXARIL for 1 week to improve blood circulation to promote my ear nerves to heal. After 1 week, NO difference.
I went to second doctor. As i told him that i might have slight sinus in the mornings/slightly sensitive nose (not blocked nose though), he said might be because of some congestion in ears. Gave me some med for sinus as well as GINKO BILOBA. The ringing becames slightly more tolerable. I’m not sure if it’s my brain which got used to the ringing or if the med worked. Doc told me to take for a week too. A week later, no more improvement too.
I went back to first doc who gave me a month’s supply of DUXARIL. I think he misunderstood when i said improvement because of the med. He probably thought that his med was working. Should i just continue with his med?
The doc told me that if i don’t heal after finishing it, i can consider going to an ENT specialist. Is this appropriate? Or is the ringing something to worry about? Should i do as he suggested?
I’m 15 by the way and i no longer listen to my ipod/earphones as often because i’m scared to make things worse. Will my ears ever heal? How possible and how long will it take?
Please try to answer all questions. I know it was way lengthy but i’d appreciate it if you can give me a more indepth answer. Thanks alot. (:
I’m not sure about the over reacting part but it has been ringing for 3-4 weeks already… THAT’S why i’m worried.
Also, if it is not the music, what caused it? That mysterious cause is also kinda worrying. I admit i;m a paranoid person but yeah. (:

I’ve got got over a severe ear wax blockage in my ear and have had it syringed and removed by a doctor. As a result I now have an acute ringing in the ear. I’m wondering how long this Tinnitus will last? I’ve been told 2 weeks to a month, but I’m eager to ask anyone else who has suffered from this.
