Suddenly about 2 weeks ago or less I noticed ringing in my ears…it has been constant eversince. But at different intensities.I dont know the cause,I have two toddler that are in the habit of screaming all the time now,Can this be the cause?I have been extremely stressed out latley, now even worse causeof this.Everythig i read on the net says it permanent.I get bad anxiety and panic attacks ,I had them under control til recently, and felt real good, til this. Now I really feel dpressed and like im gonna go nuts!!And this scares me.I dont want to have to take antidepressants for this, cause it will make me feel oblivious and not the same "me" for my children.MY dr,said my ears looked fine and that tinnitus is common. That he felt it would probally go away by a few weeks. Can this be true,i read that the more constant it is…the more chance it is permanant..so who to believe???
Anyone have experiences with constant tinnitus for a couple weeks then disapear???
Also, can kids yelling cause this??I know my daughter can be quit loud at times…but isnt that normal for someones ears?

I have this sound in my head like a little ball moving buts that’s only when I move up and down. I have been on the laptop a lot and listen to music all the time. The ball is the only thing I hear and some times people have to speak up for me. How bad is it really like how would it affect my life? Could the ball sound be anything else?

It’s been happening on-and-off for as long as I can remember, years and years. Recently it’s gotten a lot worse, with frequent occurrences (usually 8-10 hours long) each week. It’s not always constant – it can also go on for several minutes, stop for a minute, then continue. Often when this is happening, any noises at all around me (even the sound of my typing or people talking at normal volume in the next room over) will cause a sympathetic "boom" in my ear (I don’t know how else to describe it…it’s the same sound as the heartbeat, but in time to outside noises instead of my pulse). It most commonly happens in my left ear alone, but occasionally in both ears at once. I’ve also recently noticed a hearing issue – I can hear fine, both very high and very low sounds, but I have trouble differentiating between sounds (any background noise at all can cause me miss what people say). I am not stressed at all. I have perfect blood pressure, perfect cholesterol… I’m 22 yrs old, and female.
I do clean my ears of wax regularly, using the warm water flushing method, and I’m sure it’s not a build-up of that.

Depending on the level of the noise I am having I have trouble with hearing. Loud and rasping sounding voices I try to stay away from.

I’ve recently heard that Hopi Ear Candling has been known to help tinnitus. I’ve suffered with this following spinal surgery and a CSF for 2 years now. During the day at work it’s not too bad, but at night when life has quietened down, it drives me nuts! I know there’s no cure, but would be interested in any views…..

I went to a rock concert on Friday night and was pretty close to speakers. Ever since I left the concert I have had a ringing in my ears. I don’t go to many concerts at all or clubs. Could I have tinnitus or will it go away soon?

I have tinnitus in the center of my head. I have been researching a lot and have heard that some people can actually rid themselves of tinnitus. I am curious if anyone here has done it or knows anyone that has. Would love to hear your story. Thanx!

I used to suffer mild tinnitus in my left ear, it was loud but short in duration. Recently it is lasting a lot longer, & keeps me awake at night, but its not as loud as before. I’m due to see my doctor in April for another hearing test etc (I’ve suffered vertigo and lost some hearing in it already) but is there anything I can do to stop it!! (apart from put the radio on to drown out the noise).
