Buzzing sound in right ear?

About a day ago I started having a kind of buzzing noice in my ear. The night before I had fallen asleep listening to music but the volume was low so I’m not sure if that was the problem. It’s gotten a lot stronger since it started and I’m not sure if I’m losing my hearing or not. I’ve read online that it might be tinnitus or something. Has anyone had the same symptoms? If so have you had any kind of solutions to fix it?

VERY loud & noisy ear- what could it be?

I woke up today with a VERY loud noise in my left ear combined with what felt like a little drainage. I haven’t been swimming in 25 years but the feeling reminded me of how it felt with I got water in my ear. But, THE NOISE was new. Never, ever happened before and it was EXTREMELY loud. Like amplified somehow.

It went on for about 2-3 minutes and I was becoming VERY concerned. Never had ANYTHING like this before.

There was no blood coming from my ear. It was ONLY my left ear.

And it wasn’t really painful, just really, really LOUD. I thought to myself "What is this ? If it doesn’t stop, Im going to have a headache in 10 minutes".

But, then, it just stopped and Ive been fine for the last several hours.

Dial-A-nurse is closed today.

I am a 48 year old male.

I had similar feeling without the noise all the time when I was a kid and I swam all the time. That was tolerable because it was just water and it wasn’t loud.

The noise I heard today was alarmingly loud. As if I had a stethoscope on or something. Just in the left ear. And now, its all cleared up.

I was a bit scared there for a couple minutes because there was no way I could go all day with that noise.

I looked up Tinnitus. And most of the symptoms don’t apply to me.

But this one did …It has also been described as a "wooshing" sound, as of wind or waves.[4] Tinnitus can be intermittent or it can be continuous.

And it seemed Acoustic.

loud sounds in the ear canal for even the briefest period (but usually with some duration) also seemed to apply.

It really scared me at the time because this just wasn’t like loud music, It was VERY loud, coming from inside my head/ear.

And Its never ever happened in my 48 years.

I have had nasal allergies for many years and sniff the sniff saline solution regularly. Nothing in my life could explain why it happened. I did nothing unusal yesterday or recently.

What do you think ? Tinnitus ?

Do I need to call the Dr or make a special visit ?

Tinnitus or just my Mind.?

Alright, I hear a very slight ringing noise in my head right now that I am wondering if it is Tinnitus, or just my head.

It is hard to explain the volume level of the sound, but it is slight, and I only hear it in dead silence. I have never noticed this before I was advised to turn down the volume on my head phones or I will get a ringing in my ear, and then I started paying attention and I heard something. Now I don’t believe I have ever heard absolute silence, but I am not quite sure if I always heard this or I am turning paranoid by worrying about this.

I always passed my hearing tests, Last one was last year, (except for one along time ago where I had ear wax build up) so I don’t think I have Tinnitus, but maybe I developed it. I also experience 3 second loud noises on rare occasions (for example today in school) and maybe that was a quick Tinnitus symptom.

So my questions are…

Is Tinnitus loud or really soft?
Do yo know if it is my mind convincing myself, or Tinnitus?
Was that noise I heard in school sound like Tinnitus?

If you need anymore information please tell me. Thanks in advance!

I know that to feel the effects of the medication (as an actual antidepressant), it can take from 2 to 8 weeks, but how long after taking a pill would I experience the negative side-effects? I’m trying to figure out whether or not my symptoms (mydriasis, tremor, twitching, tinnitus, headache) were/are side-effects or signs something else.

My symptoms began about two hours after I took the first pill (almost a year ago now), and have reoccurred sporadically (symptoms first appeared right after the pill was taken and lasted a few days before they went away, and now, they’re back again).

ALSO: I take 75mg once daily, if that means anything.

Intelligent answers only please!!!

Thanks!

Okay. Since January my mom has been goin through these symptoms. The doctors weren’t sure but they diagnosed her to a sinus infection. She usually complains daily that her ear is making a loud ringing noise. And her ear is popping. She says it feels like she has pressure in her war. In January it was so bad, that she couldn’t walk.! She began to improve but still gets the symptoms. She is nearly deaf in the affected ear. He first time we took her to the er, they said it’s no tumor or stroke, or nothing with the heart. It’s so bad she quit her job to stay home. She goes through a lot of stress.! Today we went to go looking at houses, and she told me in the car, her ear was popping and ringing loudly.! She said she is very dizzy. I had to help her walk. She got in the room, and began Throwin up a bunch.! Her doctors all say it may be a sinus infection.! I’m tired of hearing that because it’s not. If it was, the medication they gave her would have helped. Her symptoms:
Nausea
Vertigo
Tinnitus
Ear popping
Pressure in ear

Please help.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marijuana withdrawal symptoms?

Well, I posted a sh*t ton of other questions so I have no other choice but to believe that what I am feeling is marijuana withdrawal. I’m basically posting this as an "is there aNybody out there?". I started marijuana because of peer pressure. I didn’t want to but i got sucked in. It took me a few times to feel it, but then I started getting high everyday before school. It was like, a friend would have pot and offer me some and I would think, sure, why not, whatever. I quit after a while for like a Month and then I started again, I took two small ass hits so every one would shut up. I didn’t feel anything until that night, which i find strange. Basically, I kept feeling this way, I felt high whenever I ran or did something that pumped my blood. I couldn’t enjoy anything anymore. It got to a point where I was seriously considering suicide for a while but then I turned to God. It’s strange, I will feel different effects of marijuana at different times. Sometimes I will feel like my eyes are going to explode, other times I will feel a weird feeling in my stomach. I freaking hate it. I almost constantly feel high, so I’m kinda forced to not do anything because even walking will get my blood pumping now. Sometimes I will get a wicked ass tinnitus episode and that just freaking freaks me out man. Like right now, it’s around break and I haven’t been outside my house all spring break, literally I have not steped outside except for two times where I had to get the mail and go to subway with my mom. Sometimes I have insomnia and sometimes I’m so tired bit can’t sleep. I do believe I have some anxiety caused by feeling high without smoking all the time. Im just wondering how long this will be. Sometimes things feel so fake. I’ll be watching tv and then I’ll look at the door and it looks fake and ill freak out. I drink plenty of water to try to get the thc out of my system but it doesn’t work. How long will it take til
these symptoms go away?

Just starting tonight, when I was in the shower, I started having these random sharp pains and muscle spasms in the back of my head near my right ear. I’ve been having tinnitus going on for a while now but only when it’s silent and I’m not listening to anything, this usually happens during the night time.

Also, I’ve somewhat been having problems with my heart. It feels strange because at some points in the day it feels like it skips beats, and sometimes it pounds hard and I can hear it too.

Alongside that, I have been taking Stratera ever since I was ten years old… I quit taking that at 17 years old, and now I am taking Adderall XR 20 MG and Lexapro 10 MG, and sometimes missed some days but never had any withdrawal symptoms beside the Lexapro, which sometimes gave me withdrawal symptoms but they werent as bad as now. I took both of my medications this morning as directed, and it was just a few times in the past that I missed them.

PLEASE HELP ME! Thank you!

What is the symptom Tinnitus?

Already seen it in Wikipedia but I just don’t get it..

What sort of disease or condition could these symptoms represent? I’m a 30 year-old male with excellent physical health, N/S, N/D and no history of Meniere’s Disease. I’ve suffered tinnitus for 10+ years and also experience painful fullness of the head though no insomnia or vertigo (not yet anyways, though probably eventually given the way things have been going downhill for me).

My condition was caused by years of headphone use (I-Pod users, let this be a warning to you).

During my previous consultations with ENTs they have said that my condition was caused by teeth-grinding and they told me, after giving me audiology and finding no hearing loss, to basically grin and bear it and get on with my life.
