Do I have crontic stress?

Over the past summer, I was completely stressed about which college to go to, what to do with my girlfriend and if I should continue to do sports in college. The stress level at the end of summer was massive. The throughout the first half of the year wasn’t exactly great, I was stressed most of the time, I was stressed about my classes and grades, and I was stressed about my major. Plus I started to feel worthless and I felt like my life meant nothing. Although I didn’t show symptoms of stress i thought I was fine. But I think the stress finally caught up to me. Recently for the past 3weeks, Ive had headaches, weak legs, erectile dysfunction, mood swings, sore neck, and tinnitus in my right ear.
Slowly the symptoms are getting better each day, but do the symptoms match up to crontic stress? I understand stress can really take a toll on your body and mind.
Please help
God Bless
What I really want to know, is that if all of the those symptoms are normal for extreme stress.

When will my PTSD dissappear?

Ive had this for 5 years already, depepersonalisation and tinnitus … Got it from the stress of being bullied at school for a traumatic 6 years and have suffered 5 years with ptsd, have seen a psycholigist but i still have derealisation and ringing in the ears, the symptom of avoiding anything or anyone has totally diminished since i moved away to college, I am now a different person, totally stress free but i still feel this ”dream feeling”, what can I do to make it decrease ? any miracle wonders? or real tips ?

I'm going to crack. PLEASE someone help me.?

Hey everyone. Last Wednesday I took a couple shots of .380 without ear protection. In the 6 months prior, I took around 9 shots of .40 S&W unprotected also. I felt a stuffiness in my ear Wednesday after getting home, and then I believe Friday I noticed symptoms of Tinnitus, so say it’s been about a week. I still am noticing it, but it’s either going away, or I’m getting used to it.

Music is my life, all around. I’m really into Rap/Hip Hop because of the beats. I planned on making a career out of being a DJ, and maybe moving up in the future. I honestly think that if this is permanent I’m going to commit suicide. The reason is, hearing loss is cumulative. So, sounds that wouldn’t have hurt my hearing in the past, now will because I think these shots accelerated my hearing loss. I’m not sure what to do.

I have an appointment with an Audiologist/ENT next week, but I can pretty much tell you that by reading online I’ve found out all I need to know about Tinnitus. I DON’T want this, and although I can, I’m NOT going to live with this. Please can somebody, anybody please try to atleast calm me down? I do not want this forever. I want to go back to normal. I also want to hurt myself for being so stupid and shooting without protection. I’ve always used protection in the past, but I didn’t think a few shots would be this bad to my ears. I’m going CRAZY. Please help guys. Thank you.

Guys I'm ready to snap. Please help?

Long but please read; strange symptoms?

For going on a year now, I have been having the following symptoms:

-Lack of focus
-Short term memory problems
-Vision change
-When I relax my gaze the image distorts and takes on "watery" aspects (lasts until I avert my gaze; no related headache)
-Bug-like dots in peripherals (occur several times a minute but only last a few seconds; no related headache)
-Black and white flecks in vision similar to those in old movies (same notes as above)
-Up to 10 minute spells where semi- transparent dots arranged in a circle move toward a central focal point in my vision (no related headache)
-Straight, hazy lines that shoot across my vision from time to time (no related headache)
-Floaters
-Occasional split second "white blindness" (aka my vision goes white and I get a faint rushing sound in my ears) when working on computers
-Frequent tinnitus
-Mildly aching hands and wrists
-If I put too much pressure on one leg for longer than 2 minutes it gets horribly stiff when I try to move
it
-Extreme difficulty balancing
-Pain in the joint of my big toe and recently 4th and 5th toes (may be unrelated)
-Apathy
-From time to time, I’ll be around friends and I sort of space out; I can walk and talk and I am aware of what is going on around me, but I feel extremely detached from my surroundings. These spells can last up to an hour
-Mild chest pains (once every other day or so)
-Inexplicable stomach aches (irregardless of what I have eaten I tend to get stomach aches at the end of the day every other day or so)
-Either my spleen or my left kidney (I’m not a good judge of anatomy) tends to spasm very painfully at the end of the day
-Moderate face pain (usually connected to chest pain)
-Fatigue
-Insomnia
-Shortness of breath
-Whenever I wear perfume or a heavily scented lotion I get an odd wood burning smell followed by a very mild headache that goes away after a moment or two. This burning smell happens several times a day. (I am sure the burning smell and my perfume are related because the burning smell is strongest when I wear a strong perfume, irregardless of the type)
-Computer screens, TV screens, and sharp color contrasts cause my vision to warp, fuzz, dim, and go haywire in general
-Daily, mild headaches in all areas of head though not simultaneously (not worse in morning, no related nausea)

If anyone has ANY information PLEASE help! Obviously as I said above this has been going on for quite a while now and my inability to focus or work on school computers is seriously effecting my grades. I am an otherwise healthy teen female, but I am not athletic. All info appreciated, thanks!
I would like to make it very clear that I have NEVER done drugs of any kind in my entire life.
Also I have a healthy BMI

20 year old concerned he may have Tinnitus?

Hey guys. For the past week, after exposure to a few unprotected gunshots I’ve worried about having Tinnitus. My case seems very strange to me though, after I’ve read more into Tinnitus. It feels like a very high frequency "whine" or "ring". At night in bed, I’ll hear it after maybe 2 or 3 breaths. It’s gotten to the point that I’m wondering if my mind is generating this noise considering how much I stress out over the fact of possibly having it. It doesn’t sound like any Tinnitus-like symptoms I’ve listened to samples of. It seems I can’t ‘hear it’ but my ears feel sensitive while it’s happening. In my life I’ve only shot maybe 11/12 rounds out of a handgun, .40 cal & .380. I didn’t know that just a few shots like this can trigger Tinnitus. I’m young, 20 years old & I’m terrified I have it. I’ve noticed when I open my jaw very wide, I can hear it, or when I clench my teeth together very hard – but I’ve always noticed this even prior to the shots I’ve taken. I don’t know if this all all in my head, or if I really have this condition. I have made an appointment with an ear specialist, but I couldn’t get in until next week. I am just trying to hear opinions & advice on whether they think I may have this or not. It’s driving my absolutely mad stressing if I do, or don’t. Thank you very much guys.

I’m age 17, male.

Last week on Thursday, around three in the morning, I was awake watching television, and randomly I noticed a ringing sound in my ears. At the time I was smoking pot, and thought that It might have just been the fact that I was in a state of euphoria, so I ignored it, and eventually went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning, I got up to go turn on the tv set, and noticed when I did, I heard a constant ringing sound in my ears again. At first I thought It was my television set making the noise, due to it being broken or audio damaged or something? I mean, the tv is kinda old. The ringing noise didn’t fade away and it got to the point that it was so annoying, I turned the television set off. I then went down stairs, to the other television set, and the ringing then began to happen again. After discovering that both tv sets we’re having the same effect on my ears, I was very confused for the reason why, cause I’ve watched tv & movies for years, and never ever noticed this.
I then came to the thought, thinking that maybe I was around the tv too much and needed to go outside for a while, and take a break from it? When I went outside, the ringing noise seemed to fade away and I came to the thought, thinking that maybe the only thing I needed was to get away from electronics for while? After being outside that day for over 7 hours, I came back inside to turn on the television set, only to discover the ringing continuing and somewhat worse. It didn’t make any sense to me?

I then started thinking maybe I was sensitive to noise or something? Then after a while of avoiding the tv, the ringing started occurring even when I was around silence. This kinda freaked me out. So I started coming to the assumption that I might have had a ear infection, like I had experienced many years ago when I was very young. So I went to the doctor and they said my ears we’re fine and that their was no ear infection. This scared me, not being able to get a for sure answer about the ringing in my ears.
So I started searching online, and began to discover something called Tinnitus. The name Tinnitus made me feel paranoid right away, after me seeing that movie with Ron Livingston, Music Within, after seeing him come back from war with hearing problems and then going deaf.
I started thinking of what could have caused it? I was thinking it was maybe me listening to my MP3 headphones too loud, but It just didn’t seem possible, cause I’ve listened to my MP3 many times at low volume and sometimes high volume, and never experienced any hearing problems, but then again I can’t be for sure?
May I point out that I’m wanting to become a filmmaker, and for about a month now, I was writing a screenplay, what I was putting all my energy into, causing me to drink more caffeine than usual (im very addicted, love caffeine), smoke more cigs, pot, and listen to music alot to get my creativity going. I started finding out that caffeine, nicotine, smoking period, and loud music could cause Tinnitus. So I stopped drinking caffeine, smoking cigs, smoking pot (Marijuana seems to intensify the ringing), and listening to my MP3. The ringing still kept happening. Then I started hearing about Tinnitus, being caused by poor diet. So I tried to make my diet as healthy and natural as I possibly could, but nothing changed, the ringing became more louder and annoying.
What could this ringing in my ears be? Is it Tinnitus? Am I gonna go deaf or crazy from this constant ringing? It’s very irritating, and even before the ringing, I suffered from insomnia, and the ear ringing is causing my insomnia to get much worse. This ear problem is really stressing me out, questioning what’s in store for me in the future, I don’t know how much longer I can rake the ringing, and am almost leaning towards the idea of suicide. Which trust me, I don’t want to do! I just don’t wanna suffer like this! What should I do? I feel very hopeless, alone, and in mental pain at the moment. I feel very trapped! Will this pass? Could caffeine, smoking, pot, music, insomnia, or stress cause this?

Are wind-farms really all that safe?

"Fifty-two percent of these people [living close to a wind-farm] also found noise to be a problem. Some of the symptoms they complained about include nausea, headaches and tinnitus."

Your Question
Help, there’s a chance my dad may have a brain tumour, but he won’t/can’t have an MRI scan?
He went to have a scan a year ago but he walked out because there’s a chance he could go blind as he is always on building sites, so may have tiny bits of metal behind his eyes.
He’s had tinnitus for about 4 or 5 years now and says it was caused by someone firing a nail gun on a site… But he’s not sure, and could just be lying to me. He admits he’s slightly more deaf in one ear with the tinnitus, and i think another symptom i’ve noticed is lack of concentration? But i’m not entirely sure. There are no other symptoms i know of, no headaches etc, and other than these things he’s a healthy 46 year old guy… Though wont go to the doctor as he feels nothing’s wrong with him.
I dont know what to do, he’s had tinnitus for awhile, are brain tumours noticable sooner or are they gradual?

Thanks in advance
