i have just been given betahistine 16mg for tinnitus and vertigo
but i have yet to try it
can those of you who have tried it tell me:
did the betahistine make your symptoms go or did it make them worse?
how long before you saw any GOOD improvements?
what did the tablet taste like was it bitter or sweet? (strange question i know-but there is good reason why i ask!)

i am a real wimp when comes to medication.so your experience would be nice
please only answer if you yourself have tried it though

MDs & Naturopaths: Anyone know about liver disease?

Can these symptoms wait for a doctor in several days or do they need to be soon soon?

Ammonia Smelling Urine, Light colored stools, itchy and oversensitive skin, tiredness, tinnitus (not related to hearing loss), depression, irritability

Thanks
After I eat I don’t feel well. Right after I take supplements I don’t feel well. 1/2 hour later I feel ok again.

What could this pounding in my ears be?

I get sometimes this sudden pounding in my ears almost like a locomotive, but it only hapens when im just about to fall asleep or just waking up. As soon as im aware or wake up it goes away. Ive been looking at Tinnitus symptoms but its not ringing or a heartbeat its just a sudden pounding it almost wakes me up, then once im up it disapears then when im just about to fall asleep it returns. Weird!!!

i am 16 years old and have been on depo for about 9 months. the first 6 months i was fine, them a few days after i was scheduled for my next shot i started to lose feelings for my boyfriend of 2 years. i got my shot 2 days late and i wish i had never gotten it, because for the last 3 months my life has been hell, i have put my boyfriend thru so much crap trying to find out why my feelings were fading away. i have also experenced back aches, headaches, no period with long periods of spotting, joint pain, extremely dry skin and hair, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, Breast tenderness, Difficulty concentrating, mental confusion, memory lapses, Anxiety, Mood swings, sudden tears,Loss of libido,Trouble sleeping through the night, TMJ,Tinnitus, loss of self. most of these are Symptoms of Hormonal Imbalance caused by depo provera.

About 4 days ago I woke up one morning with ringing in my ears. I didn’t have the ringing when I went to bed the night before and there were no loud noises during that night.

Ever since then the ringing has not stopped. If I cover my hands to both ears I can hear the ringing.
I can also hear bizarre things, like the high pitched sound of my bathroom light when it’s turned on or the electricity running through my computer monitor.
.
It’s as if whatever I hear between 16khz-18khz gets exaggeratedly high. For the first day after I got the ringing even the PA announcer on the tram to work hurt my ears and gave me a slight headache…now it hurts a good deal less.

What on earth is going on and how can I fix this? For the record, I don’t have a stuffy nose or any obvious "sinus" symptoms. I sure hope this is not Tinnitus: were are only 28 and only go to loud clubs or live venues about once a month or less for one hour or less at a time.

As if this were not weird enough, this afternoon my girlfriend got the same thing. I would think maybe my motorcycle caused this (engine noise, even though I wear a helmet)…but she mysteriously got it about 5 days after we last rode on the motorcycle.

Just Sick Of It And There Is No Cure. Scared?

Hearing your heartbeat in your head..no its not coming from my ears. Its outside my ears. I have always been aware of my heartbeat since i was a child..guess the way my body is designed but the last six months are so scarey and the doctor vascular specalist ent said there is nothing I can do about it.. unless i want to have surgery to find what the problem is. and that was dangerous. He saw no further reason to persue anything. No symptoms of anything wrong. blood pressure good and all was well except this.It seems to be when my ears are stopped up the most.. some days its almost bearable and doesn’t really bother me but other days I can hear every burp, and sound my heart makes..it worries me although I have found there is nothing wrong with my heart. Its like a form of tinnitus..You have to live with it..I already have a cardiac neurosis to start with and being brought ear to head with it everyday just makes me ill..its causing me to have paranoia and worries me..What can I do ..anyone?

My body’s been feeling really weird lately.
I’ve seen a hematologist and they said every thing’s fine, and I’m now being referred to the infectious diseases ward but I have a boyfriend and he hasn’t caught it off me, even thought its been about 7 months. My main symptoms are fatigue, joint ache, pounding heart, tinnitus, worsening eye sight, and joint pain.
I get so tired I can’t really do much with my day, I sometimes go to clubs but it tires me out so much, that I literally feel like my organs aren’t functioning properly, i.e. when I tire myself out too much my heart will pound and my chest will feel tight for a few hours after. I also get confused and feel like i can’t think clearly at times, it’s really frustrating because I’m a student and it’s harder to get work done.
I’ve been getting these for a few months, I don’t think it’s M.E. because that usually comes with sleeping troubles and depression, and I don’t have that.
My symptoms are so general that it could be anything! I really want to find out what it it and what I can do to get better?

Do I have the symptoms of TMJ?

1. My ear canal in my left ear feels swollen or under pressure
2. My ear canal is either flushed with ear wax or dryer than a dessert
3. If i move my jaw in a certain way it makes a grinding noise
4. Sometimes It makes a popping noise if I open it when i wake up
5. There is hissing/tinnitus in my left ear
6. When I walk the swelling feeling gets worse or when I’m lying down but not when I’m sitting still
There is no pain what so ever though :)

My right ear feels odd too =/

A few days ago I was lying in bed when my vision unexpectedly started going from one side to the other then my body felt like it was spinning around, I just thought it was because I was tired, it only lasted a few seconds before it started again then it stopped, after awhile I just fell asleep.

A few days after that I was watching television and it started again, this one lasted much longer, I asked my brother if I was moving at all he said No. I sat for a bit longer and eventually it stopped.
There was one or two times after this but it would only last for a second or so.

I told my mum she said the closest thing it sounded like was Vertigo so I just wanted to know what it was and if there’s anything that can be done to stop it from happening.
– I’m 16 and also get ringing in my ears, which my mum says is a sign of having tinnitus but haven’t got this checked either I haven’t had any injuries to my head and I don’t get headaches just in case it’s caused by anything like that.
Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks.
