Anyone just been standing around, and all of a sudden you get like a head rush, one of you ears goes kinda deaf and there is a loud ringing for like 30 seconds, maybe less than that….
It’s almost like a threshold shift, or like something is resetting itself….
Any idea what causes, or what to do about "fleeting tinnitus"?

I mean, if it’s not real why doesn’t your brain just eventually ignore it? why is it perpetual? this is caused by hearing loss in my case, btw, but really.. is there any way to train your brain to ignore the sound?!
*I’ve had it for 4 years

At random times this sound will go in my left ear, never my right. Like at random times, but never when I am asleep. It’s just like this "mmmm" "mmmm" "hmmmm" It’s never a ringing sound either so I know I have tinnitus. I don’t know how I got it. I don’t listen to my music loud or anything. What are the possibilities of it’s cause and how do I cure it?

Hi i’m 13 this year, and i don’t go to concerts, i don’t listen to loud music, neither do i play any musical instruments like drum that causes loud sounds.
But from Thursday night, when i went into the room, i heard a sound that sounded very weird. And since that time it has always been in my ear. Its really irritating, i dig my ear, wash it and it dosen’t stop.
When i listen to music , it goes away,
Can someone tell me wad to do ? i really dun want to go deaf at such a young age

Hi,
Have you had tinnitus and were told by a doctor that is caused by stress? I have constant buzzing in my ears. It is worse when I am getting Ready to go to sleep. I hear it more because it’s quiet in the room.
I am 29 years, in good health, no blood pressure problems. I had my ears checked and my hearing is perfect. My ears aren’t clogged. I had an MRI with contrast and don’t have any tumors. My ENT (ear, nose, and throat specialist) said that it must be from stress.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem caused by stress? How long did it last?
Thank you for your answers.

I always have a ringing in my ears. It becomes very apparent when it is quiet out or when I want to go to sleep. What could cause this? I don’t listen to music loud at all and I’ve had it since I was very little but it seems like its more apparent now (I’m 19). Is there any way to help it?
I also get distracted extremely easily when trying to study by noises and I HATE when people are crunching on loud food. Could this be related to tinnitus?

I have a ringing in my ears caused by my watch when it’s in the same room as me,it’s an automatic mechanical movement (no battery) that’s extremely quiet when it ticks, when my watch is with me in any room of my house it causes a wavey ringing sound that lasts for 10 seconds then disappears for 10 seconds, the noise constantly reoccurs until I place the watch in another room.
It’s taken me weeks to figure out what’s been causing it as I first thought it was a household appliance or something related to outside,it’s definitely being caused by my watch,I just don’t understand how,any advice as to why and how it’s happening would be greatly appreciated.

other than tinnitus? Can coming off of Prednisone cause a sound like this in your ears? I just can’t believe that I have tinnitus in a 24 hour period out of nowhere. I use my headphones at the gym, could that cause this newly acquired locust sound in my ears? How about wearing a blue tooth?

I have mild tinnitus. I have noticed that I can hear it when watching tv, at work, in the car, and doing most things. It is just like a background noise. Is it because I am just so focused on it. When I am in a quiet room it is louder but not very. I do suffer from chronic anxiety and am aware this can aggravate the condition. I was also wondering if anxiety and stress can cause it. I have done some googling and have heard that it can and cant and cant
