Tinnitus at age 15? What to do?

i have had tinnitus since last december when i was 14, and it was during my final testings which caused me some stress. Then at night i started hearing a ringing in my ears that bothered me for 3 days so i decided to do some research and found out it was called "tinnitus" and have heard other various side affects aswell. some nights it would be strong(rarely) most of the time its barely noticable, it still keeps me worried, am i going to lose my hearing? i think i am a bit too young to lose my hearing. i don’t listen to music on max, and last time i went to the hospital( in late december, around the same time as i got this) she said my ears were clean and nothing is wrong with it..

Do i leave it or should i do something about it?

Question about tinnitus?

For 8 months I’ve had tinnitus in my right ear. I went to an ENT and all the tests came back normal.

I’m almost positive now that it was caused by shooting a loud rifle once without ear protection.

I’m so @%#+%+ because my brother talked me into shooting the rifle and said it wasn’t loud enough to where I needed ear protection so I didn’t get it.

After that whole incident I now have trust issues with my brother. Since I kept saying no and he kept trying to convince me to shoot.

Whenever I hear tinnitus my anxiety jumps because I go back to that day and just imagined what life will be like if I just said no to shooting.

Whenever I go to bed at night or wake up in the morning I can hear the tinnitus. In the morning I’m not sure what it is because I just woke up, but then it’s depressing knowing it is still there, and that it hasn’t gone away yet.

Sometimes it sounds like it is going to fade, and a couple days I think it actually did fade so much that I couldn’t notice it.

I don’t know what brings it back, but it goes back to the original volume sometimes.

It’s just depressing because I know what silence is like somewhat because My left ear is fine.

The good thing though is the tinnitus isn’t as loud as when I first noticed it 8 months ago.
So I’m wondering if it will fade in a couple years? A couple times it’s faded to almost nothing, and it’s never gotten louder except once when I had to walk by loud speakers.

Now, I bring ear plugs everywhere no matter what because I never realized how loud our world can be.

can anyone figure out why i have my tinnitus?

what do you think the cause of it is? a blocked eustacian tube?
here’s my symptons:

When i blow out my nose, air only comes out of 1 nostril, and not the other, and it changes which nostril has air coming out and which doesn’t

when i hear noises which aren’t even that loud, it hurts my ears, such as lots of cutlery hitting together

when i swallow or tense my jaw, i hear/feel clicking in my ears

Questions about tinnitus?

I was diagnosed with tinnitus not too long ago, and was wondering if their was anything that could help me cope with the ringing. I have tried using back ground noise (a fan that sits near my bed on high, but it only blocks out one pitch, other days it will only block out two [those days I have maybe three pitches]) I was given two pamphlets, and one said to try out vitamin B-12 supplements. Do they work?

ALSO, can tinnitus be caused by earthquakes or anything of the like? My tinnitus started around the time of the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami/Power plant thing, so I was wondering if there might be some sort of connection. Other then that, I have no clue where it came from. I don’t listen to loud music, and I haven’t been to a concert since seventh grade (I am not going into tenth.)

Well, thanks for you time.

What causes Tinnitus?

I always experience this "ringing of the ear." What maybe the cause of this. Some say because of noise. Is this really true?

What constitutes consistent exposure? What is tinnitus? Does the sufferer refuse to do anything about it, demanding instead that everyone who speaks to them must stop mumbling? Why do you suppose there is such a stigma about having hearing loss, given that so many people suffer from it?

About tinnitus…?

I just acquired tinnitus earlier this year. I believe it is the result of a month long ear blockage I had in January. The ringing is in the center of my head and it is maddening when it is quiet. Sometimes my head feels full, like inner ear fluid or something. My question is, if I find out what is causing the full feeling, and it is something that may be able to be drained or fixed somehow, is there a good chance the tinnitus will go away? I just keep fearing that the tinnitus is here to stay no matter what!
