I have tinnitus, and my hearing has worsened over the years. I’d like to know if this can advance to become severe enough to force me to learn sign language

Yes it can indeed. I suggest you go see a specialist. Some forms of tinnitus can now be cured.
possibly, i have tinnitus too. flipping ringing all the time,
its ringing now.
hello? hello? people call and hang up,,, darn it…
sux tho hey?
i think it can get back enough to go deaf. im noticing it, i know how to spell with sign, but not asl though. guess i’d better learn it.
Good question. I’ve had tinnitus since I was in my 20s (now 57) and it can be annoying.
I don’t think it will cause deafness, but it clearly will interfere with your ability to hear sounds as "cleanly" as you’d like.
Get you hearing checked.
