Any one know about auto immune inner ear disease and any possible causes and treatments?
The diagnosis of auto immune inner ear disease was arrived at after no other explanation for loud tinnitus(ringing in the ear) accompanied with a loud roar and slight pressure in the ear. Similar to the feeling while in an airplane. No congestion accompanies this pressure and ENT doctor says there is no bulging of the eardrum so it’s clear. Prescribed prednisone but I refuse to take it and would like to explore any optional remedies. Comes and goes, can’t pin point anything making it come or go.

there is a product called RingStop you can get at health food stores I have a friend who took it and it’s fabulous.
You gotta beat the infection latter if the infection gets bad enough a small incision will be put in the ear drum and a tube put in to relieve pressure to save your hearing and relieve pain. The feelings your describing means the semicircular canals in your ears are already being affected (that helps with balance) Maybe your doc is putting off the surgery I described. If your feeling pressure there is pressure maybe you need the opinion of a second doctor.
it’s a rapidly progressive bilateral sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). These patients’ hearing improved after treatment with corticosteroids, thereby suggesting an autoimmune pathogenesis.
Causes:
Association with type I immune reaction involving immunoglobulin E (IgE)–mediated response
Drug Category: Corticosteroids and Cytotoxic agents
