Am I paranoid or schizophrenic?
I’m 16 year old girl. I am always stressed out and I get panick attacks at night after watching horror movies. I get scared easily.
Recently I’ve been hearing noises/tune fragments ringing in my head once in a while. I DO NOT hear people speak and the sound is very weak. It just sounds like a person humming, or a frequency amplified. This happens especially at night before I sleep. and then I would get scared and my heart would beat faster.
Is this tinnitus?
How can I make it stop? Are there any psychological therapy, meditation or relaxation techniques? Thanks!

From the little you have told us, it doesn’t sound like paranoia or schizophrenia. My advice is stop watching horror films before you go to bed.
dont worry about it its normal, jus ur ears gettin used to the silence, proberly why its happening jus b4 u go asleep
first off schizophrenia doesn’t start until late teens/early twenties so like 18ish is the earliest it would start. you are probably just freaking yourself out. you are allowing your mind to play tricks on you, which is causing you to become anxious. seeing that it only happens at one time (night) i would say you are just paranoid, which can be fixed by telling yourself that its all in your head, noone is there and nothing can hurt you.
sometimes this happens to me when ive listened to a song a lot and it will just come back to me all of a sudden. its not tinnitus. tinnitus is ringing, and it happens all the time, not just certain times.
You can stop this by helping yourself NOT watch scary movies, especially at night… That’s something I never do – because I get easily scared, and that would mess me up. It easy to think things up in your mind, especially if you can relate it to some scary movie you just watched, which is not healthy.
Sometimes I can make myself hear things, which aren’t happening. We can all do that. But once you are conscious of it, you can control it.
Good luck.
Actually, you have an anxiey disorder. People with anxiety disorders may hear things that aren’t there, but they are often just little noises/beeping etc. like you have been hearing.
Get put on some anti-anxiety meds.
