Well I’ve had tinnitus for probably 3 years now. It just recently got pretty bad (about a month ago). But about 5-6 days ago its gotten a lot worse and yesterday and today it’s been really bad. Is this normal? I heard there are such things as spikes that can last a while… does it seem like the level will go back to normal? this is almost unbearable… the hissing and ringing is almost painful to my ears now.

what is a cure for TINNITUS?

I currently am having ringing in the ears and it is causing much mental pain & stress for me. The reason I am asking this question is cause, I wasn’t hardly eating at all, and when I finally did eat, I only consumed a small bowl of noodles, along with vegetables and sometimes a fruit. Is it true that having a poor diet, not gaining enough weight to become healthy, can result in a person having Tinnitus.
This may not be the reason I have Tinnitus. But I was just wondering, could it? Could my small consumption and poor diet be the reason for my Tinnitus?

Where can I buy the Ayurvedic oils Aparamarga Kshaara taila/Apamarga Kshara taila, Hingawadi taila/ Hingvadi taila, and milk-soluble Ghee for the treatment of my mild tinnitus?

I am attempting Ayurvedic solutions to my mild tinnitus.

One solution is 4-5 drops into the ear of an oil called Aparamarga Kshaara taila (a search engine says the correct spelling is Apamarga Kshara, but I don’t really know).

Also, an oil called Hingawadi taila (a search engine says the correct spelling is Hingvadi taila, but I don’t really know) applied around the ear is supposed to help.

Also, drinking a cup of milk, with a teaspoon of ghee mixed in it, everyday is supposed to work.

Please make sure that the websites you provide as answers to my question actually have the items I am looking for. Several Ayurvedic websites I checked out don’t have the tailas I am looking for.

Are wind-farms really all that safe?

"Fifty-two percent of these people [living close to a wind-farm] also found noise to be a problem. Some of the symptoms they complained about include nausea, headaches and tinnitus."

For 7 1/2 yrs. now, I’ve been wondering why my ears were so sensitive to certain sounds. I asked doctors, & they didn’t have a clue why my ears were so sensitive. Saturday, I googled SENSITIVE EARS, & the Hyperacusis condition came up.

When people chew loudly, like smack on their food or gum or pop & snap/click their gum, suck hard on candy, the sound of someone trimming their nails, certain outside machinery, chainsaws, loud cars/trucks, yelling, screeching the chalkboard, etc. (You get the picture.) Hurts my ears badly enough to where I feel temporarily deaf, like my ears are numb for 2 hrs., they hurt INTENSELY, & I get a migraine headache, & my shoulders, neck, & back start hurting. It hurts bad enough to make me cry. It startles me & makes me lose my temper & triggers me off to have an anxiety attack. It’s disabling for me because everywhere I go, people are doing that, & I have trouble leaving my house. When I ask people to stop with the gum, they think I’m crazy.

noise induced tinnitus but no hearing loss?

I’m 19 and have noise-induced tinnitus(for almost 3 years). But I haven’t noticed any hearing loss. I still have pretty good hearing. Does this mean that it’s possible that I won’t experience hearing loss or that my tinnitus won’t get worse in the future if I protect my ears with earplugs and such?
