I went to a concert and I think i got a slight hearing loss and tinnitus, although I hear perfectly fine just like normal.

anyway with that aside, if i stay in quiet environment and restrain from loud noise, will my hearing loss get worst or stays the same? this is what i dont understand because from what i read once your ear is not perfect anymore and u have some hearing loss it will get worst. but that doesn’t make sense if you protect your hearing.

About 4 weeks ago my primary physician prescribed Zoloft to me to help with my anxiety and sleep problems that started occuring about 4 months ago, which I believe had started as a result of excessive stress. I had some really bad reactions to Zoloft (severe panic attacks and anxiety) and that’s when the hissing – ringing in my ears started happening. I stopped taking the Zoloft after only 3 days but the Tinnitus continued since then. I don’t ever notice it at work during the morning or afternoon. It’s when I get home that I notice it, especially if I am fatigued or stressed out. Could the Zoloft reaction have triggered this Tinnitus and will it stop? I went to an ear, nose & throat specialist the other day, who checked my hearing and said I tested fine. He said the ringing noise is common among people with anxiety and that the anxiety must be treated with medication, preferably antidepressants, and that I needed to find one that I can live with, and it might be gone in 2 months.True?

I’m 21 so it’s not age-related, I’ve been to doctor and the cause is benign but can’t be treated (go figure)

it is SO LOUD and SO ANNOYING.. sometimes even distracts me from plain old thinking

I’ve had it for a few years now and my resistance is wearing down. I’ve lost lots of hearing in my right ear and white noise no longer works.I feel extremely frazzled lately and it’s beginning to show

so any tips would be great.. thanks

Besides ringing in my ears I also have pressure (ear pops) and am very sensitive to certain noise now.Is the pressure and sensitivity also symptoms of tinnitus?Ive been to the ENT and had the hearing tests but I forgot to ask the doctor because I was a little freaked out.
Izzy-I asked about my allergies causing the tinnitus but since Im a carpenter and have been around loud noises for about 20 years I think my ENT just wrote it off to that.I might have to see an allergist.

I heard that Sermion 30Mg (nicergoline) is good and have a positive effect. My tinnitus is a result of an exposure to loud noises over a period of time. Please advice

I heard this but I really do not understand can some one help make this clear ?

please if you have any experience. I am also prone to psychosomatic illness- the things I obsess over usually always go away, I"m not sure this will, but I pray it will! any help?
