John, good joke!

I get a ringing in my ears every now and then – typically when I’m sick. And it goes away after maybe two days at the most. My mother has gone to loud rock concerts when she’s young and it’s never caused permanent tinnitus for her.

Right now I have a ringing in my left ear. How long have I had it? 11 days straight – and it’s making it quite difficult to sleep. It was not caused by loud noise. I was a bit sick two weeks ago and that probably caused it.

I keep reading about people have tinnitus for 10, 20, 30 years straight with no moment’s rest. That wouldn’t happen to me, right? It’s a rare thing? Isn’t mine just temporary?

I am a musician who has been playing for over 30 years and in the past, playing live and loud, my ears have had various bouts of tinnitus or ringing in the ears.

I bought some "gummy bear" waxxy types, but these aren’t good enough quality. Can anyone recommend some tah tare good and where to buy them

I was wondering if anyone else who has tinnitus has used it and could you please tell me if the cure there works or if the information is actually correct?

I’ve been suffering from tinnitus from the best part of 4 or 6 years years. Its recently gotten worse though. And its really disrupting my sleep and personal life. I’m wondering if theres any home remedies or will i have to go to my gp? Will they have a good solution because i usually find them quite useless. By the i’m 20 yrs old I’ve been quite stupid with my hearing .

hi in my last post i thought i had the symptoms of tinnitus….which i was wrong i went to the docotors today and she told me that on my left ear i have glue ear but my right one is fine…i am 16 years old, and i think i have had this for about 2 years, the doctor told me some ways of fixing it, but can YOU suggest any ways of fixing the problem

Okay in my previous question I asked why my ear made noises, then I knew I had tinnitus. Now I want to know how to get rid of tinnitus. Please help?

I’ve been having tinnitus for over a year, but with no evident hearing loss (I got tested with machines, etc.). I have no idea what’s causing it, on the same side of my affected ear, I have ear-aches, palpable nodes on neck (very small, not visible just palpable), and a constant dull ache around the jaw. I’ve had x-rays, ultrasounds of the neck done, and doctors seem to find nothing. They say my lymph nodes are normal. What could be causing my tinnitus?
