I’ve noticed some odd symptoms for the past few months now that have been bothering me. everyone insists its nothing and it might be but I’m a pretty anxious person and can’t see a doctor for a few more weeks so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Ok so the main thing is that I’ve noticed these fasciculations of my left eye. They come and go but are pretty annoying. These same twitches now seem to be happening randomly on different parts of my body, just for a second at a time. I feel like this has been happening for a while but it seems to be more so now. I’ve also noticed fatigue lately, I’ve been getting enough sleep but I’m still tired. I get some headaches that come and go but those seem normal enough, they only other odd thing is a rushing, pulsating tinnitus in my ear. I have a ringing tinnitus in both ears always (probably from my iPod or concerts) but in my left ear I notice if I get up or lay down quickly i feel a rushing sound that pulsates with my heart beat for about 10-15 seconds then stops. Some of these symptoms have been happening for months, they haven’t seemed to get worse but this eye and random body twitching on top of everything else is what has me a little spooked. Any information at all would be great, thanks a lot.

Posted this question in electronics. Didn’t get many replies. Maybe I’ll have more luck here. Or maybe I should find a new hobby.

My mom is almost completely deaf now, and I’m afraid the same thing is going to happen to me. It would be devastating to me, because I want to be a musician! I’m doing some research, but I thought I would ask on Yahoo too. My mom drinks alot of diet coke with aspartame, (Nutrasweet). That might have caused her deafness. At work I have been drinking too many soda’s with aspartame, becuase there are no alternatives, and I’m diabetic, and water gets really boring after awhile. So I’m cutting down, but I want to find out what causes Tinnitus, and make sure that I prevent it. I also have fans blowing in my house because of the heat and I’m paranoid about it making me deaf, because my grandma’s dog went deaf because of sticking it’s head out the window.
My mother started drinking diet coke with aspartrame in the ’80’s. She has always been a heavy drinker of diet coke. Her hearing started to fade away I believe at a much higher rate than normal hearing loss, unless she has been exposed to very loud noises that I don’t know about. She’s about 65 now, and her hearing is so bad that she has to read your lips most of the time, and it’s very difficult to talk to her on the phone. I have read that aspartame caused this. Saccharin was controversial because they said it caused cancer in laboratory rats, but according to www.saccharin.org saccharin was removed from the cancer causing list by congress. But I’ve heard nightmare stories about Nutrasweet, and I may be seeing the results of this first hand. This is serious. My Mom can’t hear! Why??

Treatments for Tinnitus?

I am seeking a site where I can learn some more about tinnitus treatment.

I love my music;

However a shocking 76% of clubbers / rock fans experience ringing in their ears (tinnitus) after listening to music at the average of 110db – risking permanent hearing damage

What would make ear plugs fashionable & desirable?

What cool style would you actually want to be wearing?

You wouldn’t want to get tinnitus from the DJ!

I’ve had tinnitus for two and a half years and have thought of suicide many times. I’m 51 and can’t bear the thought of living with this demon much longer. It’s a constant sound of a tea-kettle on boil 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It keeps me awake at night and grumpy when I’m awake.

Can Tooth infection cause tinnitus?
