I used to have really bad OCD and depression as a teenager. I don’t go to therapy or take meds anymore. Recently I’ve started to have this really bad ringing (tinnitus) in my left ear. I neevr listen to any loud music or noises at all in fact I’m really paranoid about this sort of thing being OCD. I always tell other people to turn their music down.
My doctors have tested mke for every possible disease and found nothing. My hearing is normal. So now they’re saying that my OCD and depression could cause the ringing?
Are they full of crap and just trying to get me to go back o meds. because theyt hink I’m making the ringing up?

I was taking a certained medication and had my ears start ringing. When I quit taking the medication my ears stopped ringing. Now, maybe 3 months later, they’re ringing again and I’m not taking anything! Help!

about a week ago i had a runny nose. i think i had a slight sinus headache, but wasnt too bad. my runny nose went away and my headaches disappeared. the day after i thought i was fine i started hearing these buzzing noises while i was sleeping. i thought it was the washing machine so i went downstairs and it was off. still heard the ringing. it might have been somewhere in the house so i stepped inside my car and closed the door to see if it was me. it in fact was me. im not really sure what causes it. i dont listen to loud music or wear headphones. majority of my day is school, hw and sleep. im not too sure what could have caused this. any help and any idea if this would be permanent or not?
i dont smoke, do any kind of drugs (legal and illegal), dont listen to loud music or television, not stressed or depressed (im on top of my schoolwork and pretty happy with it) and i never had an ear infection. the top causes are ruled out for me. im not sure why i randomly acquired it three nights ago, but i did. i am wondering how i got it and if it will be permanent.

My doctors can’t figure out why I have it or what to do about it. Any suggestions? Or ideas why I have this problem?
I’m only 21 years old and I never listen to loud music EVER. I don’t even own an ipod.

Hi folks, i have been recently diagnosed with Tinnitus, my question is, what are the normal symptoms for this (apart from the ringing – lol), It is normally worse when i get up in the morning. Also i get headaches that seem to be sometimes in the top of my head, other times at the front, can thinking about tinnitus give you the headache in the first place, as this thing drives me crazy i suppose the anxiety or depression it causes can cause otherproblemss as well as the headaches.

Because when I lack sleep or I’m too tired I seem to have a ringing. Is that normal?
It goes away if I sleep long enough. It only appears when I can barely stay awake…
