She had her operation six months ago and she’s still hearing buzzing/ringing noises in her ear every other day.
The surgery was to fix a ruptured eardrum in her right ear. It was successful at first but then a couple of months later, there was a small hole in the drum again.
She’s otherwise healthy; she eats right and exercises regularly.
I just want to know if this is normal

My heart breaks when I have to witness my friend struggling to cope with ringing in her ears! That is not the worst of it though, as she find it hard to fall asleep her general health is also starting to suffer. It seems that as she is always so stressed and up tight, she doesn’t get to sleep much and always seems to catch every infection that is going around. Can this resulting from the tinnitis? Where can I get a tinnitus treatments right now.

My heart breaks when I have to watch my grandmother struggling with ear ringing! The tinnitus is not the worst of it though, because she struggles to sleep her overall health seems to be deteriating. It appears to me that because she is so irratable and up tight, she doesn’t get to sleep much and always seems to catch almost every sickness that is going around. Can this be because of her tinnitis? I am looking for a tinnitus treatment for her.

For the last few weeks it has become so pronounced. It sounds like crickets overlapping, faintly, but it is loud and is distracting. I’m concerned. I have changed jobs (a lot of engineering and security electronics), and wonder if this can have anything to do with it.
Any serious input would help…I’m kind of worried. Thanks.

I have suffered with this high pitch ringing sound in my ears mainly the left one for one year now.It all started after a bad cold last year, its the ringing gets better but it is always there. When its really bad its like someone just flicked a switch and this high pitch noise starts. It then brings on panic attacks and starts to really freak me out. I have been to every doctor and specialist out, even had brain scans but nothing is wrong. Can anyone please give me any help if you know of anything that may relieve this horrible lifestyle. When its really bad I also feel pressure in my ears, one starts thinking that your having a heart attack and things like that, I feel like I am going mad, wouldnt wish it on my worse enemy. So if any of you out there have this and know of anything that may help, please do tell.Bye the way I have tried the tea’s and pills, etc etc, even tried Hyno, and massage. Nothing works.

I used to play the drum set in 6th and 7th grade and didn’t wear ear plus for 10 or so times but I beat the living crap out of the drum set which left me with a ringing noise in my ear but it was not permanent.
Next I have had trouble with wax in my ears and was wondering maybe if it is caused by wax. The Ear and Nose Specialist said that I just have tinnitus from noise but i feel as if there is something in my ear. They said I am still in the normal hearing for my age and I really want it to go away.
Anyone have any ideas of if it is Noise-induced tinnitus. P.S: I rarely listen to music on my ipod and I have only been to a few dances for about 2 hours each but stayed away from the speakers. Please help me
