Or is the damage permanent?
Well, the infection came about after having my ear syringed for wax. The ringing was around back then, which is a symptom as I understand, but it’s got worse since the infection took hold.

It is just frightening to watch my friend struggling to cope with the ringing in her ears! The tinnitus isn’t the worst of it though, because she battles to fall asleep her overall health is also starting to suffer. It seems to me that because she is so tired and anxious, she can’t sleep for long and always seems to catch every sickness that is going around. Can this be related to her tinnitus? I am looking for a tinnitus cure urgently.

She has constant ringing in both ears this has been going on for a year or more !

I used to play the drum set in 6th and 7th grade and didn’t wear ear plus for 10 or so times but I beat the living crap out of the drum set which left me with a ringing noise in my ear but it was not permanent.

Next I have had trouble with wax in my ears and was wondering maybe if it is caused by wax. The Ear and Nose Specialist said that I just have tinnitus from noise but i feel as if there is something in my ear. They said I am still in the normal hearing for my age and I really want it to go away.

Anyone have any ideas of if it is Noise-induced tinnitus. P.S: I rarely listen to music on my ipod and I have only been to a few dances for about 2 hours each but stayed away from the speakers. Please help me

Woke up with ringing in ear. Tinnitus??

Hi all,

I woke up this morning with ringing in my left ear. It’s driving me insane. I did some research and found the symtom tinnitus. I thought it was ear wax build up, so I cleaned it with a over the counter ear wax remover, but the ringing still occurs. What I have found out about tinnitus is that it can be also caused to over-dose of caffeine. I have taken a lot of caffeine the past 2 days and I also drink about 5 beers a week. Could it be tinnitus that’s buzzing me? This ringing has happened to me before, only when I got water in my hear from showering and it would cure itself in a week. What can I do to make it better? I just want the ringing to stop. Please help.
I do listen to music moderately loud in the car and at home, but not extremely loud that I can’t hear anything else. Also I do not take aspirin at all or any sort of pain releivers.
yes. i also smoke about 8 cigarettes per day.

Have there been any studies in this area?

I was just wondering this, someone please help me out. From what I read it seems like its a rare occasion, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew?
