I honestly don’t know why I have tinnitus. My guess is a number of factors during high school and my time in the Navy.
It can get loud enough to keep me from sleeping. Usually a high pitch sound but sometimes it oscillates.
what can i do?
thanks.

It is just frightening to watch my friend struggling to cope with the ringing in her ears! The tinnitus isn’t the worst of it though, because she battles to fall asleep her overall health is also starting to suffer. It seems to me that because she is so tired and anxious, she can’t sleep for long and always seems to catch every sickness that is going around. Can this be related to her tinnitus? I am looking for a tinnitus cure urgently.

Sadly, i think i have tinnitus. And what makes me even more upset, is that i’m a musician that loves music and composes music quite frequently. Incase you didn’t know… Tinnitus is a ear symptom that projects a ringing sound in your ears when there is no sound present. I just couldent think of the fact that its going to get worse over the years, and i miss out on all this great frequency of notes that i wish to explore when im older… Will there ever be a cure do you think? how should i approach my situation?

Although I wasn’t diagnosed, I was extremely depressed for several years a few years ago. I even engaged in moderate self injury.
Then it all went away and I was happy again – I felt normal.
But since May this year things have been going downhill. I have incessant tinnitus – which is very stressful, have been quite sick (hospital, ER, missing classes and tests) and now whenever something bothers me I burst out in tears (or hold it in) once a week for the past five or six weeks. I’m just so angry and frustrated. I hate crying. I cry much too easily now ever since my grandmother died over two years ago. I used to never cry – even when I was depressed. Back then it was just a constant deep sadness. The SI helped, but since I don’t do that anymore I resort to crying. Makes me feel like going back to SI to stop the freakin’ crying.
I don’t even know if this is a mental unbalance or what.
I tried therapy once a long while back, but it did no good.
(Sorry the question was repeated. I didn’t know it did that.)
