Hello, when I lay my right ear down on a soft surface such as a pillow. If I close up my ears with anything else i don’t hear it, but as soon as I lay down I hear this ringing in my ear. This is only in my right ear. Do you know if this is something other than Tinnitus? Or if I could maybe just wash my ear out really well might fix it or something? Thanks!

I had a falll some 20 yrs ago broke my cranium and ruptured the ear drum it all started then. All has healed since and was told it may go away, seemed to subside for many years and managed to live with it but now it’s quite loud again. Any help or references would be very much appereciated. I have a hard time getting to sleep, can’t think straight and it’s making me very agitated. Please don’t suggest getting job on a Aircraft Carrier.

It is saddeneing because I have to stand by and witness my gran battling with the ringing noses in her ears! The tinnitus is not the worst though, because she battles to sleep her overall health seems to be getting worse. It appears to me that because she is always so irratable and up tight, she can’t sleep much and nowdays seems to pick up every germ that is doing the rounds. Is this be related to the tinnitus? I am searching for a tinnitus treatment right now.

Especially at nighttime.
Any good ways to reduce the noise or make it seem quieter?

I am having a bunch of symptoms and no one seems able to tell me what’s wrong or what kind of specialist I may need to see. I have had skin problems, hair falling out, salty tasting skin and this morning I woke up really dizzy and lightheaded. I also have tinnitus which has gotten a bit worse. Also about 1 month ago, my hands started "falling asleep" ar night while I slept. This happens off and on in my sleep, but it wakes me up when it does happen. I am a divorced, mom of a 13 year old girl and I have TONS of stress in my life. I can’t afford to go from Dr. to Dr. in search of an answer, but i am getting concerned about my health. I am the only one around that my daughter has to take care of her, Her dad died about 5 years ago. I am on thyroid meds and that has taken care of some symptoms, but others are continuing to go on and I dan’t know what to do and I am scared!! Does anyone know what might be happening to me or what kind of Dr. I need to see?

I have tinnitus, and my hearing has worsened over the years. I’d like to know if this can advance to become severe enough to force me to learn sign language
